A Smart Contract Architecture Framework for Successful Industrial Symbiosis Applications Using Blockchain Technology

Industrial Symbiosis (IS) involves a network of organizations that exchange energy, materials, and by-products to lower production costs, reduce environmental impact, conserve natural resources. Despite over two decades extensive research into IS, its benefits are well known, but implementation remains challenging. This paper proposes utilizing blockchain technology (BCT) digitize making it more secure transparent. First, drivers barriers BCT in IS identified. A smart contract architecture framework using Hyperledger Fabric is then proposed the constructed theoretical background abductive method. Finally, discusses how this supports by addressing attempting overcome barriers. It resource for those seeking comprehensive grasp foundational elements necessary constructing successful design, which adaptable all types configurations.
